Should a course participant have any complaints or concerns against one of the members of staff at Natural Survivor Ltd, or wish to discuss something they are unhappy about, they must in the first instance bring it to the attention of the individual concerned. If the complaint isn’t resolved by the member of staff, you can discuss the issue further with the company director of Natural Survivor Ltd. If you still feel that the complaint has not been properly dealt with, or hasn’t been resolved to your satisfaction, the participant must notify Natural Survivor Ltd in writing no later than 7 days after the event.
For overseas expeditions, participants are solely responsible for arranging and must be in possession of a valid passport (where applicable). Information can be given on request for these matters or related items (clothing, climate, baggage, personal gear etc) in good faith but without responsibility on the part of Natural Survivor Ltd.
Travel insurance is mandatory for all participants on overseas courses/expeditions. Insurance must include cover for medical expenses and personal accident. The participants are responsible for arranging their own insurance.
We strongly advise that you take out travel insurance as soon as you make your booking,
Natural Survivor Ltd will make every effort to adhere to the planned itinerary and programme and reserves the right to modify or cancel any particular activity.
Natural Survivor Ltd cannot be held liable for any unforeseen events that may occur such as strikes, industrial action, wars, riots, sickness, government intervention, weather conditions, sale of land by owner etc, or any other untoward circumstances, for aviation technicalities, you will need to take the matter forward with the airline company.
In the event of a course cancellation due to Natural Survivor Ltd’s own reasons not included in the above-mentioned participants will be refunded the full amount of monies paid.
If you cancel the course for whatever reasons the following refunds will apply:
12 weeks prior to the course commencement date: 75% refund will be given.
8 weeks prior to the course commencement date: 50% refund will be given.
6 weeks prior to the course commencement date: No refund.
4 weeks prior to the course commencement date: No refund and full payment required.
16 weeks prior to the course commencement date: 75% refund will be given.
14 weeks prior to the course commencement date: 50% refund will be given.
12 weeks prior to the course commencement date: No refund.
10 weeks prior to the course commencement date: No refund and full payment required.
In the event that full payments are not received within 10 weeks prior the departure date, we will assume that you are no longer attending, therefore your place will be allocated to another participant and your place will be lost.
The deposit or the full price is required when you agree to these terms and conditions, however if you book within the ten weeks departure date the full price has to be paid during the booking process (Overseas) (Four weeks UK Course).
If the customer cannot attend the overseas expedition and has to cancel within 10 weeks of commencement of the expedition they are liable for the full balance to be paid.
If the customer cannot attend the UK course and has to cancel within the 4 weeks of commencement of the course, they are liable for the full balance to be paid.
The reason for this is that expeditions /courses can be jeopardised or even cancelled due to last minute cancellations which is unfair to others.
If no payment has been received within that time period, the unpaid monies that you are liable for will be passed to a third-party debt collection company and you will also be liable for their costs. This is why travel insurance is mandatory and you are advised to take out a policy to cover you for unforeseen cancellation prior your departure date.
Provisional bookings do not hold firm until a deposit or the full amount of monies is received by Natural Survivor Ltd. Full payment must be received at least 4 weeks prior to the UK course commencement date, and 10 weeks prior to any overseas course commencement date.
There are certain hazards involved with these challenges and the Natural Survivor Ltd accepts responsibility for negligent acts or omissions by its staff in respect of claims arising as a result of death, bodily injury, or illness caused to the participant. Natural Survivor Ltd does not accept liability for death, bodily injury or illness in other cases.
It is essential before embarking on one of our courses or expeditions that the you the participant are fit and healthy enough to undertake such activities. If you have a medical condition or previous medical history Natural Survivor Ltd strongly recommends that you seek advice from your doctor or relevant specialist. It is then your duty to inform Natural Survivor Ltd so we are aware and can make better judged decisions should anything arise. If you are self-medicating it is your responsibility to ensure you have enough medication to cover the duration of your course/expedition.
Natural Survivor Ltd cannot be held responsible for injuries such as frost nip, frost bite hypothermia or hyperthermia, dehydration or sunburn as these are self-inflicted injuries.
Any information given to Natural Survivor Ltd will be strictly confidential. Natural Survivor Ltd cannot be held responsible for any illness or injury as a result of an ongoing medical condition.
If in doubt participants should contact Natural Survivor Ltd to discuss the requirements. Participants should be aware that medical assistance is available in the remote regions visited by Natural Survivor Ltd but due to location may take longer to reach us.
Staff of Natural Survivor Ltd will do all in their power to solve problems to the benefit of all students as a whole. Individuals may be requested to leave the group if we believe that the person’s health is at risk, an illegal act has been committed, or they behave in a way to endanger the safety, enjoyment and welfare of other members of the group. Staff of Natural Survivor Ltd will take such action, that the student will be asked to leave and make their way back home or to the UK at their own expense.
The customer must respect the environment being utilised during the course period. The customer will be liable to any damage due to deliberate or negligent destruction caused to the environment they are using. If as a result such damage occurs the customer shall be responsible for paying the reasonable costs.
if the customer is found to have caused or is behaving in a malicious manner likely to cause such damage, they will be asked to leave the course or expedition.
If you are attending a course in the UK it is your responsibility to arrange your own method of transport i.e., train, car, bus or flight and to ensure you plan your route and allow for traffic, roadworks, delays etc. We recommend you arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the start time in order to have all your kit/equipment ready to go. The course will start at the intended time so if you are late you may miss some elements to the course.
If you are travelling to one of our expeditions in Sweden then you are solely responsible for booking your own flights and travel insurance. You are also responsible for all in-country transport to Sundsvall train station where we will collect you. The same applies for your return journey. On occasions we may be providing all in-country transport, this information can be found on the course info page.
Airlines may have to change aircraft without advance warning. You are asked to check carefully departure and check in times on your documentation when received to ensure that you arrive at the airport in sufficient time.
We recommend you seek advice of any passports or visa requirements for your intended journey and any compulsory health requirements to enable you to participate in your travel arrangements. Please note that you will require a full British passport with at least 6 months unexpired at the date of return travel. For EC and other passport holders please seek advice.
Natural Survivor Ltd cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to luggage and property, they are carried at the participant’s own risk.
You will be using equipment provided during the course and will be charged the full price for the equipment loaned to you if it is returned in a damaged condition through incorrect use, or if you have lost it. All of the equipment will be returned in the condition it was received at the end of the loaned period. Damaged items will be paid within 14 days of the end of the course/expedition.
